Queues and scheduler
Order downloads, limit how many run at once, and start or stop them at set times.
Queues
Every download belongs to a queue. Start download runs a file straight away; Download later puts it in the queue you choose and waits.
- Order: drag downloads in the Queues window. The top one starts first.
- At a time: each queue can have its own limit, or follow the global one (Preferences → General, default 3).
- Start Queue / Stop Queue on the toolbar act on the queue you’re looking at.
- Synchronization queue: when started, finished files in it are re-checked on the server and downloaded again if they changed.
Scheduler
Open Scheduler from the toolbar.
- Start and stop times, every day, on chosen weekdays, or once.
- Overnight windows work — for example 01:00 to 07:00.
- When done: do nothing, notify, sleep, or shut down. Sleep and shut down show a 60-second banner so you can cancel.
- If the computer was asleep at the start time, the schedule catches up when SQDM starts inside the window.
Quotas
For metered connections: Preferences → Speed & quota sets an hourly or daily limit. The status bar shows how much of it is used.
