Data usage and caps

See how much you've downloaded, and stop before a monthly limit.

SQDM records how many bytes each download used, by day, site and network. Open Dashboard in the sidebar.

Dashboard

Daily and monthly usage.
Top sites.
Usage per network (useful with bonding).
Average speed by hour of the day.
Totals for the current billing cycle.
Export CSV.

Torrent downloads and uploads are shown separately.

Cap guard

Preferences → Data usage (under Advanced):

Set the day your billing cycle starts.
Set a monthly cap — overall, per network, or both. Optionally count torrent uploads.

SQDM warns at 80 % and 95 % (in the app, and on Telegram if set up). At 100 % it pauses the downloads that would go over — all of them for the overall cap, or stops using that network for a per-network cap. Override for this cycle lets them continue.
